Mónica Zanettin
Born In Treviso Monica Zanettin studied voice at the Conservatory Bendetto Marcello in Venice and holds a degree in Conservation of Cultural Heritage from University Ca' Foscari in Venice.
After having scored notable personal success in 2014 as Aida in Aida at the Arena of Verona she has recently made her role debut as Tosca in Tosca at the Teatro Petruzzelli Bari and Leipzig Opera and as Amelia in Un Ballo in Maschera at La Monnaie Brussels. Since Monica Zanettin is a rising star.
Her past operatic appearances include Leonora in Il Trovatore at Teatro Comunale Treviso; Nedda in Pagliacci at Teatro Comunale Modena, Mimì in La Bohème in Venice and at the Vlaamse Opera Antwerp.
Her extensive concert repertoire includes Verdi's Messa da Requiem, Vivaldi's Magnificat, Mozart's Exultate Jubilate and Beethoven's 9th Symphony performed at the Thèatre Massenet in Saint Etienne.
Her future engagements include Manon in Manon Lescaut at the Teatro Massimo Bellini Catania, the title role in Tosca at the Teatro Filarmonico Verona, title role in Aida at La Monnaie Brussels, at the Teatro Comunale Bologna and in a Japan tour, Amelia in Un Ballo in Maschera at the Teatro Lirico Cagliari, Cio-Cio-San in Madama Butterfly at La Fenice Venice, title role in Tosca at the Deutsche Oper Berlin.
