Ivan Magrì

He began studying singing with Domenica Monti. In 2005 he graduated with honors from the Conservatorio di Musica »Giuseppe Verdi« di Milano under the direction of Giovanna Canetti, Wilma Borelli and the tenor Luciano Pavarotti. In 2006 he made his debut as Ernesto in Don Pasquale and made his debut the following year in L'elisir d'amore in Udine and Pordenone. He has also appeared at renowned houses such as the Bavarian State Opera and the Royal Opera House in London. In the following seasons he appeared in Rigoletto in Rome and Florence under Zubin Mehta and in La traviata at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, in the Palau de las Artes Reina Sofía in Valencia, at the Teatro alla Scala di Milano and in Tel Aviv . Other highlights include engagements in Luisa Miller at the Zurich Opera House and the Hamburg State Opera, roles in La Bohème in Houston and Sydney and Madama Butterfly at the Vienna State Opera.
Ivan Magrì is a laureate of international competitions such as the Riccardo Zandonai Competition and the Francesco Maria Martini Competition.
