Born in Australia, he studied at the University of South Queensland, Queensland Conservatorium, the GMSD and the National Opera Studio. He was Assistant Conductor and Chorus Master for Le Nozze di Figaro (GSMD), Assistant Conductor for The Rake's Progress (Opera Faber) and worked on Albert Herring, Macbeth and L'elisir d'amore (Glynderbourne on Tour) and Capriccio (GMSD). He is Director of Music for St Peter's Church, Hammersmith, and Conductor of Hayes SO. he joined the Jette Parker Young Artist Programme in 2008 and has worked on Elektra, Hansel und Gretel, Beggar's Opera, Rigoletto, Dido and Aeneas, Acis and Galatea, Lohengrin, Lulu, Tosca, Così fan tutte, Carmen,  L'heure espagnole, Gianni Schicchi, Der Rosenkavalier, The Gambler, Cunning Little Vixen, Aída and Manon. He has conducted The Bear and a concert with Hayes SO and Robert Anthony Gardiner (Meet the Young Artists Week 2008 and 2009). After leaving the Program, he became part of the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe Ensemble since November 2011.
