Zuzanna Ostropolska-Nalewaja
Zuzanna is a set and costume designer with numerous realized productions in a wide range of venues. She possesses both practical and theoretical knowledge on stage and in costume design, which she gained during her work in professional projects and her study years at the Academy of Fine Arts.
She has worked on multiple movies and music videos. Among others is the awarded short film Oh mom! directed by Jan Gruszka where she was a set designer, a full feature film 1:11 — as an assistant costume designer, and short movies Szachista and Spacer z psem — where she was both costume and set designer.
Aside from her work in cinematography, Zuzanna worked on multiple theatrical projects, such as Różewicz Project and Skąd się biorą kolory. Moreover, she works with companies on advertising projects as well as the Automotive Museum in Topacz Castle on seasonal events.
The Work on Haendel’s Alcina marks the beginning of her professional work in opera. Before that, she worked as an assistant costume designer in Zygmunt Krauze’s Yemaya – Królowa Mórz, and Giuseppe Verdi’s La Traviata.
She has a particular interest in Romance languages, notably French and Spanish.
