Andres Moreno García
The Mexican tenor Andrés Moreno García began his international career in 2013 and has been performing as an opera and concert singer all over the world ever since. From 2017 to 2020 he was a member of the International Opera Studio at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden and was accepted into the ensemble in the 2021/22 season after completing his studies. He made his debut in various key roles, including Tamino Die Zauberflöte, Ferrando Così fan tutte, Rodolfo La Bohème, Alfredo La traviata, Rinuccio Gianni Schicchi and a singer Der Rosenkavalier. In the concert field, he has already sung as a soloist in performances of Verdi's Requiem, Handel's Messiah, Mozart's Requiem and Beethoven's 9th Symphony, among others. Conductors under whose musical direction he has already performed include: Daniel Barenboim, Zubin Mehta and Antonio Pappano. He has also won prizes in prestigious competitions such as the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, the Opera Index Competition, the Giulio Gari Competition, the Opera San Miguel Competition, the Amici Competition, the Yale Opera and the American Opera Idol Competition. Andrés Moreno García received his Bachelor's degree in Music from the University of Hartford and his Master's degree in Music from Yale University.
