Vera-Lotte Boecker studied singing in Berlin and Copenhagen. She was engaged in the ensemble at the Nationaltheater Mannheim and the Komische Oper Berlin, where she developed a broad repertoire. Guest performances have taken her as Pamina (Die Zauberflöte) to Beijing, Tokyo, New York and Paris. She has also appeared at the Bavarian State Opera in La Juive, at the Bolshoi in George Benjamin's Written on Skin, at the Hamburg State Opera in Die Zauberflöte and at the Stuttgart State Opera in Hans Werner Henze's Der Prinz von Homburg. From 2020 to 2022 she was a member of the ensemble of the Vienna State Opera. Her repertoire includes roles such as Gilda (Rigoletto), Violetta (La traviata), Rosina (Il barbiere di Siviglia) and Adele (Die Fledermaus), as well as contemporary roles such as Fusako (The Betrayed Sea), Nadja (Bluthaus) and Agnes (Written on skin). As a concert singer she was a.o. in the Berlin Philharmonic, the Vienna Musikverein, the Kulturpalast Dresden and the Cologne Philharmonic. For her performance in Bluthaus at the Bavarian State Opera, she was voted Singer of the Year 2022 in the critics' survey of the magazine »Opernwelt«. In the same year she was awarded the Austrian Music Prize in the young talent category for her portrayal of Micaëla in Calixto Bieito's production of Carmen at the Vienna State Opera.
