Annette Dasch

Annette Dasch is one of today’s leading sopranos. She appears at the most important opera houses and festivals. Her engagements in 2014/15 include the return to the Metropolitan Opera New York as Eva in Meistersinger von Nürnberg with James Levine conducting. One of the performandes will be broadcasted worldwide in the series The Met: Live in HD. Afterwards she will make her role debut in the title role of Martinu’s Juliette at Oper Zürich with Fabio Luisi conducting. In summer 2015 she will sing again Elsa in Lohengrin at Bayreuth Festival. Concerts and recitals bring her with Birmingham Symphony Orchestra under Andris Nelsons to Paris and Beethovenfest Bonn, with Berliner Konzerthausorchester under Markus Stenz to Berlin, with the Symphonierorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks under Sir Simon Rattle to Munich and with Gulbenkian Orchestra to Lissabon as well as to Schubertiade Hohenems. Plans of the upcoming seasons include a world tour with Berliner Philharmonikern and Sir Simon Rattle, new productions at Vlaamse Opera Antwerpen, Royal Opera House Copenhagen and Staatstheater Stuttgart. 
Among her most important roles are Donna Elvira Don Giovanni (Teatro alla Scala Milano, Berline State Opera, Bavarian State Opera Munich), Contessa Le Nozze di Figaro (Royal Opera House Covent Garden London, Teatro Real Madrid, Théâtre des Champs-Elysées Paris, Metropolitan Opera New York, Oper Frankfurt), Fiordiligi Così fan Tutte (Bavarian State Opera Munich, Salzburg Easter Festival), Antonia Les Comtes d'Hoffmann (Opéra National de Paris), Elisabeth (Oper Frankfurt), Elsa (Bayreuth Festival, Teatro alla Scala Milano, Bavarian State Opera Munich, Gran Teatre del Liceu Barcelona) and Eva (Budapest Festival, Metropolitan Opera New York).  
In the concert field she has worked with orchestras such as the Berliner and Wiener Philharmoniker, Orchestre de Paris, RSB Berlin, Mozarteum Orchester Salzburg or Akademie of Alte Musik. She collaborates with conductors such as Daniel Barenboim, Ivor Bolton, Sir Colin Davis, Gustavo Dudamel, Adam Fischer, Nicolaus Harnoncourt, Paavo Järvi, Marek Janowski, Fabio Luisi, Kent Nagano, Andris Nelsons, Sir Roger Norrington, Seiji Ozawa, Sir Simon Rattle, Helmuth Rilling and Christian Thielemann. She gives regularly recitals at the Schubertiade Schwarzenberg, Wiener Musikverein, Wiener Konzerthaus, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Konzerthaus Dortmund, and at the Wigmore Hall London.  
Annette Dasch studied among others at the Hochschule für Musik in Munich. She is an exclusive artist with SONY BMG. For her debut-CD Armida she was awarded with the ECHO prize for the best opera-recording 2008. Her second album with Mozart Arias has also been released by SONY. Besides, her discography includes Lohengrin from Bayreuth Festival and Philharmonie Berlin, Beethoven 9 with Wiener Philharmoniker and Christian Thielemann, CDs of Deutsche Barocklieder (Harmonia mundi France) and Schumann’s Genoveva (Acousence) as well as DVDs of Haydn’s Creation, Re Pastore from Salzburger Festspiele (DG) and Nozze di Figaro (Bel Air Classiques) from Théâtre des Champs-Elysées Paris, Don Giovanni (Euroarts) from Salzburg Festival and Idomeneo (Medici Arts/Naxos) from Cuvilliés Theater München.
